The LHR 15ES Orbital Polisher features a 15 mm orbit and a 125 mm backing pad making it particularly suitable for curved surfaces. Shorter than that of its big brother, the LHR 21ES, is coupled with a higher rpm level than that of the LHR 21ES. This higher speed gives the LHR 15ES equivalent cutting power to the LHR 21ES, in spite of the smaller orbit. The 130/150 mm BigFoot polishing foam pads, perfect balance and vibration-free operation make the LHR 15ES a real gem and a must for the tool kit of every detailer. BigFoot comes with a perfectly balanced machine body, a practical handgrip, silent operation and minimum vibration, all of which help make BigFoot the market’s most versatile and sought-after system. BigFoot comes with a dual function anti-spinning shroud is designed to protect the operator against the moving parts and act as a clutch for the backing pad, preventing further stress on the foam polishing pad when it is not in direct contact with the surface.
The Rupes company has been around since 1947, and launched their first electric sander in 1951. With a desire to protect the health of users, Rupes began adding a dust removal system to all of their sanders in 1969, and has been improving on the system ever since. In 1995 Rupes introduced the LH 16E compact, high performance polisher. In 2008 they came out with the LHR 150 Orbital polisher with a 10 mm orbit, and in 2010 Rupes introduced the Big Foot brand of Orbital polishers. The LHR 75 was the first Big Foot marketed, a pneumatic polisher with a 15 mm orbit. The LHR 75 was followed by the LHR 21E featuring a 21 mm orbit. Rupes built on the Big Foot brand and came out with the Duetto, smaller than the LHR 15ES the Duetto features a 12 mm orbit allowing it to be a sander and a polisher.
